Now I know you lead a boring life! If you are so interested in me that you would read a page about my hobbies, then you need help! Ill keep on the lookout for a good psychiatrist and include a link at the bottom of the page. That way, you can just click for counseling.

MESSING WITH COMPUTERS. My favorite thing at the moment is doing Web sites. I've done several for myself and friends, and I'm even working on doing some professionally for a couple of organizations. My future business site is www.webstringer.com. That's still months off, but there is a construction page letting the world know that I am getting ready. I'm attending school (starting again this coming Spring) pursuing a degree in Computer Science. Ill be taking some programming courses (Pascal, C, C++ etc...) and I intend to take this experience and apply it to robotics in some form or another. One of the universities in my area has a team that works on the Autonomous Aerial Vehicle (AAV) to enter into national competition. That sounds like something I could have fun with. Lately, Ive been considering changing to Computer Animation. Either way, many of the same courses apply. So you could say that messing with computers is among my favorite things to do. At least the things that don't require rubber sheets;-) I don't think putting pictures of me working on my computer will be necessary. You probably get the idea...

JUGGLING. I'm okay at it (when I remember to practice). I've gotten up to 5 balls and 4 clubs or torches. Wanna see some pics? I can pass clubs/torches with a partner, but it's hard to find people that want to have things thrown at them. No biggie. When I get a chance, I attend the juggling club in my area. Just a bunch of jugglers throwing things around a gym room. Check out the Juggling Information Service Web site. They've got all kinds of info concerning juggling, knife-throwing, fire-eating, etc...

HOT RODS. I've got a 1967 Chevy II S/S that I've had for years. I just pulled the engine out of it (sold it to a friend along with the tranny and he put it an a '75 Jaguar!), and I'm making plans to build another much stronger one. I don't have as much time as I did a few years ago (wife and kid), but when money allows, this project will get rolling (pun intended). It's bright yellow right now, but I've actually thought about painting it light green. Solid colors look great on that body style. I imagine putting a 383 backed by a TH400 or competition Powerglide would suffice. It will serve mainly drag strip duty, and I intend for it to hit the 10's in the quarter. At the time I pulled the old engine, I could hit flat 13's at about 105 mph. That was with a mildly warmed over 327/TH400, and 3.55:1 rear gears. I'm going to use 4.11's with the 383. Have a look at a couple of pictures from years ago. I cant find any recent pictures of the car (at least not with the engine still in it). But Ill keep looking.

I've also got a small collection of reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids. No pictures of them as of now. I've been finding other homes for the animals lately because it costs so much to feed them all. I'm down to just a few right now. Someday when I'm raking in the dough, I'll think about getting more. But for now, I'll just continue reading about them. I actually started out going after a Science degree, and wanted to specialize in herpetology (the study of reptiles and amphibians). Then I got a computer.

I've got four cats. And I don't want to talk about it!

I know I listed computers at the top of my list, but I failed to mention something that is more fun than anything else I've ever done. Watching my daughter grow up. It's amazing how kids soak up information, and how their learning curve on complicated things is so much steeper than adults. Everyday, I'm met with new challenges in trying to keep her challenged. She's at that age where everything is an exciting adventure just waiting to begin. When she smiles, I smile. When she laughs, I laugh. When she cries, I cry...well, not really, but I feel bad for her. I just have fun watching her grow up and figure things out. Smart girl. Now we are expecting ANOTHER baby! Its really great news, but its gonna be double-trouble.

This page has probably bored you to death, and if you've gotten this far, you've probably had to wake yourself up a couple of times. That's okay, I understand. I'll be putting pictures up later, and taking out some of the text. Visually, these activities are actually kind of interesting. Well, everything except the computer stuff.
